Poor customer experience

they are consistently overestimating my gas use. they say they use historical data to estimate it but the numbers are always substantially higher than the historical numbers. customer services calls are not helpful to resolve these issues

Its what that does nothappen. Often times you need to talk to a human as the Virtual Assistant is not programmed to help with much outside the norm.

Then it becomes total wasted time to get no appropriate answer. It is guess work to then chose the appropriate number on the choice menu. Then you get a long repeat of what you have already heard. Its bad enough that human beings cant visit your office.

But to have several phone numbers to dial and get the same options and one leave a message, that tells you it is more or less marginally checked, and theyll get back to you obviously at their convenience while I might be playing Charles Atlas and slugging personal items . Not an ideal time for those moving. But who cares??? only adds insult to injury.

Mine was to get the account number for my new residence so I can call in an accuratemeter read belonging to the former resident the day I take possession. Amazing with the service fees charged that final readings are not done on the move dates.
Hydro comes out and does the electric read and water read. Final reads are much more accurate than your estimates. And like anything we should be paying for what is our usagenot someone elses usage perhaps included in the last ESTIMATE read.

Your numerous phone numbers plus menu choices are great for a guessing game. Children may enjoy them. But you need to think of seniors who have their shortcomings in the tech world . But at least we can cursive write.

Know the use of a period, comma etc. and genuinely enjoy interaction with other human beings. Not just a phone. Needs to be some mutual respect for all ages in the shortcomings and strengths of all differing age groups.
Im done but I am sure you have heard it all before and really have had some amusement for the day.
Only good thing was I spoke to a gentleman,Wade, today.

He was excellent and I was lucky enough to speak to him only after I guessed the right option to press and was fortunate to speak to a human. My concerns were not foreign to him . But obviously some younger high ranked individual(s) do not think the older generation factor into any appropriate consideration to assist us. Customer service is at a high time low most everywhere.

I am 70 +
and I dont curse at individuals, as it really is not their fault, they just have to follow and go by the major inadequacies in the system. But those are laid out by whom??? Us old non techie individuals will be dead soon anyway is about the jest of it. That about sums it up.

Bottom line we are human beings and we still need to give that 110% and get on with an option that says for all other inquiries I am as I said 70+ and moving. Something that we will all agree is slated as one of the most stressful times. So I am very, very busy and need answers when I have the time to sit and get answers .

I really think some of the service charges and set up charges should be diverted to 100% immediate assistance (called Customer Service)when the system is not set up to answer more precise or obscure questions.

Customer Service is a concept to them; not reality

Huge bill in January to "catch up"! Ya right, you never sent me a bill for months, now I have a bill for over $600 in 1 month!

I called to set up a payment plan and actually the lady I spoke with then, was pleasant and helpful and got me set up.
As long as I made the payments over the next 4 months I was ok.
WELL! I had 2 harassing phone calls in April saying I had missed a payment; which I clearly had not! THEN, I get a collection letter stating I owed them $156 immediately! UH I don't think so.

So I called them and they immediately start into a long winded message about what I owed and that it had to be paid immediately! I interrupted the person talking to explain to them the reason for my phone call, which incidentallly I was not asked about! So I explained the reason for the call and apparently they must have misunderstood what I said because they immediately started on another long winded explanation about how much I owed! So I interrupted them again and said I do not agree with your explanation and your figures are wrong.

The person then admitted there was a mistake with applying my last payment and that it went to the wrong account? WHAT? So you send me a collection letter because of a mistake YOU made and still tell me I owe an outrageous amount of money? Once again ...

NO!
I asked that it be escalated and someone needs to call me back with a full explanation of the current charges! The phone call was set up for between 10am-12 the next day.

They can't even get that right, they called me at 12:58, almost an hour late! I am done with their "customer service", I will be dealing with their Ombudsman from now on!
It's like they just read from scripts and don't even listen or give you the opportunity to explain why you're calling, it's frustrating.
That's why I say "Customer service is a concept to them, not a reality"
